Allevol Easy 'Afterhood' Hooded Sweatshirt Navy

Allevol Easy 'Afterhood' Hooded Sweatshirt Navy

In the 1930's the casual men's crew neck collar sweatshirt began to evolve with the game-changing addition of a hood and large kangaroo pocket, transforming American sportswear style into what we know today. Extremely rare in the vintage clothing collecting world, these 'Afterhood' Hooded Sweatshirts from Allevol are some of the finest repro styles out there.

Allevol's Afterhood Hooded Sweatshirt follows suit in their 'Easy' line-up. Cut in Japan using a quality, mid-weight loopwheel fleece, the Easy Sweatshirt features a bound crew neck collar with 'after hood' sewn on. Single 'V' detailing and raglan sleeves have been paired with ribbed hems and cuffs while dual patch pockets complete the look.

Loopwheel machines manufacture cotton with a very low thread tension that allows for the production of a premium and unique fabric with the end result being an incredibly comfortable garment. There are only around 400 loopwheel machines remaining in Wakayama, Japan with half of these in use at any given time. These were the standard from the 1920's - 1960's until manufacturing methods gave way for efficiency and cost.
