These Camouflage Trousers from Buzz Rickson's were originally issued for Tropical Combat, provided to Special Forces & praised for their lightweight and fast-drying abilities.
These differ from earlier models by omitting exposed buttons and straps and replacing cinch adjusters buttons with metal fittings. The fabric was also upgraded from cotton poplin to cotton ripstop, which was favoured in the field for its superior tear resistance. This distinctive camouflage was developed by the U.S. Military’s Engineer Research and Development Laboratory (ERDL), and vintage garments featuring it are affectionately known as ERDL models.
The trousers feature two side-entry pockets alongside two large gusseted flap pockets and two rear flap pockets for ample storage. A zip front and drawstring hem are complemented by cinch side adjusters, while a wide silhouette completes the look.
