Limited to only 200 pieces worldwide, and originally only available for pre-order, we have received stock of the Danner x Lightning 8068 Collaboration.
Resurrected from the archives, the 8068 boot dates back to 1979 and has been given the Japan Treatment, with updated quality components and higher 8" height, reaching the 'Golden-Ratio' for staff at the Lightning offices for that all-important pant-leg-roll.
The Danner Light was their first waterproof hiking boot and utilized a Gore-Tex lining as a lightweight, breathable, waterproofed fabric also pioneered in 1979. Made to the same design, the boot features Cordura Nylon side panels, full Gore-Tex lining, Fiber-glass shank, for support and stability, Vibram Ketterlift sole unit and an upgraded premium Horween oil-tanned leather.
Hand made in Portland, Oregon these boots are a great example of American design and outdoorsmanship and a rare example of heritage technical clothing.
