Full Count Persimmon Tannin Dye Heavy Duck Work Pant Brown
Having undertaken some new design and brand development over the past couple of seasons, Full Count are back with their latest collection as well as standard items blending timeless design with come unique and classic twists.
Persimmon, or, "kakishibu" tannin dyeing has been in place for over a thousand years in Japan, long before chemical dyes existed. Persimmon dyeing has the effect of strengthening the fabric and repelling water, a natural benefit derived from the high tannin content in unripe persimmons.
This traditional Japanese technique not only adds a warm, earthy brown colour to fabrics, but over time, the colour deepens with exposure to sunlight, enhancing both form & function. This type of dyeing method was commonly used on everything from fishing nets and workwear to paper and wood, showing its unique versatility and durability.
These Heavy Duck Work Pants from Full Count draw inspiration from classic early workwear styles. Crafted from a durable duck canvas in Japan, they feature two front entry pockets, two rear pockets reinforced with exposed copper rivets, and a button fly with a crotch rivet for added strength. These have a straight fit and a comfortable mid-to-high rise.
