Rocky Mountain Featherbed For Clutch Cafe Down Vest Blue

Rocky Mountain Featherbed was founded in Wyoming (the Cowboy State) in the late 1960's. RMFB created its iconic down vest with a seamless single-piece leather yoke for cowboys and their down vests became infamous for their cold-proof and heat-retaining features like those of feather beds.

In 2005 35 Summers Ltd in Japan acquired the license to manufacture and re-create these unique and iconic garments down to every exact detail, using the rights to distribute the branded name.

Here we have our custom colour Down Vest made exclusively for us in Japan in collaboration with Rocky Mountain Featherbed. This colour is taken from Kinji Teramoto's vintage archive and collection of original RMFB Down Vests.

The RMFB Down Vest is Made in Japan to the same detailing as those commonly found from the 1960's. A one-piece leather Western yoke across the shoulders and as close to the original ratio of 90/10 Down to Feather filling are two key components researched and carried out successfully by RMFB. The shell is made from a specially created 70 Denier Nylon which is lightweight and incredibly durable.

Further details include a full frontal snap button, two hand pockets with velcro fastening, one inside pocket and is complete with a stand collar.
