The Rector from Soundman takes its cues from the understated tailoring of 1930's British sack coats. Similar to originals from the period, the coat features a three-button front, no vent, and three external patch pockets, offering a relaxed, unstructured silhouette that is easy to wear.
Cut in Japan from a salt shrunk linen canvas, using the Arimatsu Shibori method, where fabric is treated with a salt-condensed liquid to create a unique, textured, and durable fabric - ideal for this linen & this style of Jacket.
A considered update for the modern wearer includes a slightly enlarged hip pocket on the right side, sized to comfortably fit a smartphone, while two large hip pockets and single chest pocket add to the utility of the Rector. An inside pocket and double dyed nut buttons complete the look.
