Y'2 Leather WJ-02 Steer Roughout Ranch Coat Camel

Y'2 Leather are based in Osaka, Japan, and have been in the leather jacket making game for close to fifty years. Specialising in horse, cow & deer hides, they make some exceptional jackets, all handmade in their Osaka studio.

Rooted in early 20th-century Americana, the Ranch Jacket was originally designed for cowboys and ranch hands who needed durable, practical outerwear for long days outdoors. Built from sturdy fabrics with simple construction and functional pockets, it was made to handle hard wear and changing conditions. Over time, the Ranch Jacket moved beyond the ranch, becoming a staple for riders, workers, and anyone drawn to honest, utilitarian design.

Using a fine Steer Roughout for the body of the jacket, the leather is water-dyed in Japan and is finished naturally with drum dye providing an even distribution of colour, without hiding scratches or scuffs with dye. The flesh side is a full grain leather, making the jacket both soft and durable, weighing in at about 1.3mm.

The Ranch Coat features a snap button front and two lower slash pockets, while the hem has been cut square to make for easy wearing. It features a full wool boa lining in the body & nylon diamond quilt lining through the sleeves, while the cuffs are complete the snap button adjusters. The Ranch Coat is finished with a custom woven Y'2 Westernwear label.
